Saturday Morning Gather #31

gath•er: to come together or bring together into one group, collection or place

If you are new here, welcome.

Saturday Morning Gather is my weekly newsletter where I share things going on at Vintage Home, and also inspiration and things I have found during the week that I think you might enjoy.

If you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you!! I truly appreciate you showing up and continuing to support my blog.

Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.

Last week, on the blog, I shared an elegant Hawaiian luau tablescape that I created for my monthly dinner club group.

I had so much fun creating this table and thinking outside the box to keep it neutral instead of the bright colors that a luau would tradtionally be.

Also, I made this refreshing pineapple basil cocktail for our luau theme menu.

Mr. VH and I will be leaving on a 2 week vacation to London and Ireland next week, and we are so excited!

We have never been to either place, so we’re looking so forward to exploring each place.

Stay tuned for lots of pics…..

On another note, I celebrated my 57th birthday this week. I wrote a little about that on IG, but here’s a recap if you missed it.

This is 57!

If you would have told me a few years ago that at 57 years old I would be writing a blog and posting daily on IG, I would have laughed out loud.

Somewhere between closing my shop and figuring out what was next, I just kept thinking how passionate I am about decorating my home, helping others decorate their homes, entertaining, thrifting and gardening.

The idea of writing the blog came to mind as a way to share those things I love with you.

It’s a lot of work, it’s hard to keep up, and I question myself often if what I’m doing even matters.

I truly believe that God blesses us with gifts that we are to share with others.

I hope that my gift of loving to create home and to entertain others gives you some joy and inspiration.

I can’t thank you enough for being here, following along on my journey, and allowing me to share with you!

blessings,
michele
