on the blog….

Last week on the blog I shared a fun book theme tablescape.

It was my monthly dinner club, and our theme was “Book Club Brunch”.

I had so much fun getting creative with this one, and for the most part used things I had on hand.

I added a couple of unique elements, I shared in the post. One of them would be a fun gift for a book lover.

You can see that post here.

And this week, on the blog, I shared this cute heart pillow DIY.

It only took about 30 minutes and was so easy and inexpensive to make.

in other random news…

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a case of the winter blahs lately.

We had a winter storm in Texas this week, so we’ve been home bound for days.

Honestly, I kind of enjoy it for a couple of days, because it forces me time at home to work on some projects.

But after a couple of days, I need to get out.

Photo on the left is my front yard Wednesday morning and the right side is Wednesday night. A solid sheet of ice!

You could have literally skated on my front lawn.

On a happier note, I got a new car this week!! Unfortunately, because of the weather, I haven’t driven it much, but I think I’m going to love it.

Also, I would like to thank Cindy at Reinvented Delaware for featuring my heart pillow with vintage buttons last week on the Tuesday Turn About Link Party.

These seed packet cookies are about the cutest thing I’ve seen lately….
