Well, I can’t believe the Thanksgiving holiday is already behind us and Christmas is around the corner!
I feel like the year has flown by and to be honest, as much as I love the Christmas season, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the fall season just yet.
Fall is my favorite time of the year, and it went by way too fast for me.
If you are new here, welcome.
Saturday Morning Gather is my weekly newsletter where I share what is going on at Vintage Home and also share inspiration and things I have found during the week that I think you might enjoy.
If you’ve been around a while, as always, I am so grateful to you! I truly appreciate you showing up and continuing to support my blog.
Gather round and grab your coffee or favorite morning drink of choice and let’s take a look at what’s been happening this week.
on the blog….
Well, once again, I am terribly behind with the blog.
I have traveled so much this year for design work that I can’t seem to get caught up.
One of my goals for 2024 is to be a bit more organized and ahead of the game with content to share with you.
But, for now, here is a look back at a rustic and cabin inspired Christmas tablescape that I created and shared a couple of weeks ago.
And here is a vintage inspired Christmas tablescape from last year…
And if you’re doing any holiday entertaining or need a fun appetizer to take to a Christmas party, you might like this fun Christmas tree charcuterie board.…

It’s December 2nd and I haven’t even started decorating for Christmas yet!
Friends, that is how behind I am this year!!
I host Thanksgiving every year, and I don’t like to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving.
I enjoy having the pumpkins and fall decor out for the holiday, but it really puts me behind with decorating for Christmas.
I host Thanksgiving lunch at my home on Thanksgiving day, then we travel on Friday to East Texas for the weekend.
The rest of my family lives in that area and we have a huge bonfire and cookout at my brother and sister in laws land. This allows extended family and friends to gather, and it has become one of my favorite holiday traditions.
My brother makes a large bonfire and we roast hot dogs and make s’mores.
He has a large flatbed trailer filled with hay and wrapped with string lights and takes all of us on a hay ride all around his 27 acres.
The kids play on large hay bales, drive the golf cart around and just enjoy being kids and playing outside.
On Sunday, before we head home, I love to walk around the land at my moms house and cut fresh pine and cedar branches to bring home and use in arrangements.
Another one of my favorite traditions on Thanksgiving weekend.
and some other amazing things I found….

I just got this fun sequined top to wear during the holidays. It’s so cute and is on sale right now. Comes in silver and black.
I hope you found some inspiration at our Saturday Morning Gather today!
